Sunday proved to be a bit of a challenge for all involved in training SRC and Bronze this weekend. The beach at Longy was closed so we decided to send all candidates up and over the headland to Fisherman’s beach.

Of course, when we arrived there, the conditions were no kinder. So we kept going to Collaroy ocean pool. The waves in the pool were surging over the candidates as they were swimming lap upon lap working on their fitness.

Despite my efforts to stay dry as I was filming, photographing and encouraging the trainees, a rogue wave annihilated me leaving me looking like a drowned rat (see photo below). Of course, it certainly provided them with entertainment for the morning.

Despite the conditions, we had a fun and funny morning full of fitness and frivolity!
