We are very excited to announce that the annual Club Championships will be happening again this season. Open to all Bronze Medallion and SRC holders of any ability, and for the first time ever, we will be inviting Nippers to compete!

If you’re a Nipper in age groups U11-U13, love getting out on the beach, and want to compete at a higher level, this is your chance to go head to head with the big kids.

It’s a new format, with four rounds over four dates, and more points to accumulate.   

This year, the Club Championship events will include swim, run, boards, sprints and some new events soon to be announced. Activities will take place over four rounds, where competitors will receive points for every event they compete in. After each round, the points will go towards the overall Club Champion, to be announced at the annual Longy dinner!   

You are not required to compete in every round of Club Championship if you wish to go in the running for overall Club Champion. However, the more rounds you compete in, the more points will go towards the title!

This is a great opportunity to enjoy a day down at the beach and meet new people in the club. There are also great prizes to be won and lots of fun to be had!  

The planned dates for Club Champs this season are: 

Round 1: Sunday 13 December, 2020 

Round 2: Sunday 31 January, 2021 

Round 3: Sunday 14 February, 2021 

Round 4: Sunday 14 March 14th 2021

Important notes 

Nippers (mandatory requirements): All Nippers wishing to compete in the Club Championships this year MUST be in the U11 age group or older and have passed the run-swim-run requirements for the SRC prior to competing (100m run, 100m swim and 100m run in 5 minutes). Please fill out the expression of interest form to receive further information on opportunities to fulfill these prerequisites, as well as to receive general information regarding the competition.
