Hi again Longy members!
A big thank you to all our members who have already submitted their comments on the proposed design of our new club house. For those of you who have not yet had the chance, the deadline is 11 November.
Your contribution is incredibly important to ensure that the new Long Reef SLSC club house facilities meet the needs of generations of volunteer surf lifesavers to come.
Quite a few of you have come to us directly with your suggestions, which is great. Please ensure that you submit them to the Council by clicking here.
Overall you seem to really like the design which blends nicely into the beautiful Longy landscape and offers open spaces for people to hang out.
One of the main themes which is emerging from your feedback is whether the club is big enough and there is enough space (i.e. court yard, function room, etc.).
The other big one seems to be whether we will be able to manage, entertain and feed our 450+ nippers with the current facilities, especially after they return from the beach.
These are all very valid questions, so we encourage you once again to come up with some great solutions and submit them to the Council via their survey before 11 November.
