A group of Long Reef Under 9’s and Under 10’s started off their summer school holidays with a board competition at Dee Why Surf club in December.
This was a casual competition to give the younger ones a taste of what it was like to enter a carnival. It included 2 swim rounds and 3 board rounds and participants could choose which ones they wanted to enter.

It was a beautiful day – but ended up a bit choppy when a northerly blew in right at the end. The Under9 boys are looking forward to doing it again next year!
