Connor did it again and placed in the top 10 at the recent state surf lifesaving championships. Way to go mate! A huge congratulations from all of us here at Longy SLSC, we are very proud of you! We can’t wait to see you and other nippers in action again next season!

Here’s an e-mail we received from Connor’s mum Julie:

“Good morning,

Just letting you know that Connor came 9th in yesterday’s final for the U9 swim. There was a field of approximately 120 boys, so we were so pleased that he was in the top 10 in only his 2nd ever carnival.

Lots of things to take away from it, such as how to start, porpoise dive and the rough & tumble that happens around the cans.

We’re not sure how Cooper went as he was down the opposite end of the beach to us – so we never got to see him.

We were very warmly welcomed by the Freshwater people who let us sit with them and let Connor warm up with them too.

I’ve attached a photo of Connor in his Longy gear, which I must say looked awesome amongst all the other clubs.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to the club for your support of Connor this year, we really appreciate it.

Can’t wait for next year!

Kind regards
Julie Harrison”
