So now that you have your Bronze Medallion, what next?
There are many Awards you can do. These Awards will make you a more rounded Surf Life Saver plus provide you with very useful life skills that you may unexpectedly need to call on at home, the office, at school, on holidays, etc.
We plan to run an Advanced Resuscitation Techniques Course in February. The course goes for one evening and one full-day. The evening will be 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm Tuesday 13th February followed by a full-day on Saturday 17th February. The assessment will be shortly thereafter.
The aim of the course:
To provide participants with more advanced skills, knowledge in the application of oxygen, airway management devices (OP airways), automated external defibrillators, during resuscitation and in a variety of emergency situations.
Why would I do this course, aren’t these covered in the Bronze training?
This course takes your skills to the next level. You will learn advanced techniques with the use of equipment that aims to improve patient survival rates.
